We also take our own internal data protection very seriously. Our employees and the service providers we mandate are bound by an obligation of confidentiality and respect of the legal provisions of data protection.
Access to personal data is only granted to the extent necessary.
Cookies help, among other things, to make your use of our website, as well as our applications, easier, more enjoyable and more useful. Cookies are information files that your web browser automatically saves to your device's hard drive when you visit our website.
For example, we use cookies to recognize you as a registered user without you having to log in again each time.
Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted in your computer or mobile device at the end of the browsing session. For example, we use session cookies to record your language selections, as well as to facilitate your browsing when you continue your Internet session on multiple pages.
In addition, we also use temporary or permanent cookies that remain stored on your computer or mobile device beyond the end of the browser session. At each new visit, your favourite data and settings will be recognized automatically. They serve to make the use of our Platform more user-friendly, efficient and secure. Moreover, they allow you to receive selected information on the page viewed based on your interests.
Most web browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookie is stored on your computer or so that you receive a warning message when a new cookie arrives.
You can find more information about this in the settings options of your browser.
Disabling cookies may result in your browsing and use of our Platform being limited.
When using web sites or mobile applications, Web servers record impersonal usage data (called “log files”).
Log files provide information on your IP address, the last visited site, the browser used, the date, the time, and the requested file.
We evaluate this impersonal usage data to detect trends, compile statistics to improve functionality of the Platform, or better tailor our services to the needs of the Platform's users.
We use plug-ins of the social networks. Plug-ins allow you to place bookmarks on these pages and share these bookmarks with other social network users.
If you interact with plug-ins, by clicking a “Like” button on Facebook or by posting a comment, for example, your browser establishes a direct link with the servers of the social network.
It is, thus, possible to send the social network data concerning your visit to the Platform. Depending on the circumstances, this data may be assigned to your user account on the social network (for example, Facebook or Twitter account). If you have approved this feature with the social network, the social network may also send VVV personal data (name, surname, email) from your user account.
You can find information on the collection and use of data by third-party providers in the corresponding social networks guidelines regarding data protection.
To analyse visitation of the Platform, we use techniques called tracking technologies. These are Web analysis tools that allow statistics and graphs to be created on the use of our Platform.
The usage data collected for this purpose is sent to a specific server that may be domiciled abroad according to the provider of the web analyser.
We use Google Analytics for this purpose. The recorded data is transferred with the abbreviated IP address, which prevents any possibility of identification of particular devices. Its server is in the USA.
The information is processed in order to evaluate use of the Platform, to compile for VVV, for example, reports on activities related to the Platform, and to provide other services related to use of the Platform.
If other analytical tools are used, the data collection procedure applied will be basically the same.
In order to create an account, the user must be of age.
As a result, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
In case you wish to exercise your rights relating to your personal data or if you have any questions or concerns about the way it is processed, you can contact us by email at support@brainbox.gr
